Incorporating Ladders Into Your Decor
Posted on April 17, 2017
Sometimes we forget to think outside the box when we’re decorating our homes, we forget about the unlikely design pieces. I think the reason you don’t see much done with the ladder is because it already has a function, and because usually when we see ladders within the design scheme it’s in a large library or study to reach books. Well you don’t need a library in your home to incorporate a chic or rustic ladder.
1. Do you Live in a small space, or in an old home with limited closet space? Be your clever self and create a space. Use a ladder as the stepping stone to higher fashion… see what I did there?
2. I said you don’t have to have a library but if you have large sturdy bookcases or a built in bookshelf, use a ladder for books out of reach. Stain or paint the ladder to resemble the bookshelf.
3. Don’t want to hang your white lights on high ceilings? Use a ladder to help create a homemade light fixture.
4. A ladder can be used for high shelving in a pantry. It also makes the pantry look far more interesting.
5. You don’t have to go out and buy a fancy bookshelf. Find a rustic or modern ladder and use it as shelving.
6. This may be one of my favorites. Use half of the ladder as a stylish towel rack.
7. Who needs stairs? A ladder to your loft saves space and adds a sense of style.
