Posted on January 25, 2018

Farmers’ Markets are quite prominent in Louisville and make for a great weekend activity! The markets offer all types of foods both prepared and unprepared. They are a great place to explore and taste new foods; especially for young children. Markets provide fresh foods and encourage healthy eating. There are Farmers’ Markets throughout all of Louisville, with each marketing offering varying goods. Take time to visit different markets throughout the summer!

Some of the more popular Louisville Farmers’ Markets are:
St. Matthew’s Farmers’ Market – Located on Shelbyville Rd at the Beargrass Christian Church this market has returned for its eighth consecutive year and is a favorite of many Lousivillians.
Westport Road Farmers’ Market – This market takes over Westport Road Baptist Church’s entire parking lot. The market grows more and becomes more popular as the summer months progress.
Douglas Loop Farmers’ Market – Douglass Boulevard Christian Church hosts a farmers’ market that vends local produce, baked goods and even dog treats. The market reopens on March 3rd!
New Albany Farmers’ Market – On the corner of Bank and Market St in New Albany, the farmer’s market provides fresh produce, meats and cheeses along with artisan soaps and crafts.
