Red House Restoration in Floyds Knobs

This project started with a concerned customer who was frustrated about the paint system on his home. Upon initial inspection we noticed the color had faded (the color had faded within 24 months of painting). The customer also shared that his home had been painted with Duration, by Sherwin-Williams. We were a little surprised by this, especially since color retention is not a typical symptom for Duration, even though it was a difficult and problematic color (red). We immediately called the local Sherwin-Williams Representative and started working on a solution for this project.
Our plan:
- Initial prep of washing with TSP (Tri-Sodium Phosphate)
- An application of Sherwin Williams Exterior Multi Purpose Primer
- (2) coats of Duration Exterior (Satin)
We also had the finish coats tinted with Sherwin Williams Enviro – Toners (which improves color retention; and has become a Sherwin Williams standard).
